‘Art? Or Politics? The Seed Room…’ is a monthly event at Map Studio Cafe in Kentish Town, that stirs all genres of music poetry and discourse together in an evening for the heart and mind! The aim is to bring artists and thinkers together and create a community for change.
Each event has a loose focus, from migration and women’s issues, and features brief contributions both from both topnotch performers and from newcomers who simply want to share something special.

Hosted by author, poet and songwriter John Farndon, it’s a space for anyone from young spoken word artists to classical maestros to share what really matters to them in the world.
Taking part
It’s a curated evening, not an open mike – we want to focus on ideas, not performers. But we welcome contributions from anyone interested taking part, whether it’s to perform a song or poem or just to briefly tell a personal story.
If you want to contribute, contact John Farndon in advance at jfarndon@dircon.co.uk
